Governors of Wootton Primary School have decided that sex education will be integrated into relevant parts of the curriculum.  It is developed throughout the school, but covered mainly during work by Years 5 and 6 on ‘Ourselves’, which includes elements of both health and sex education.  Parents are informed before these lessons take place and are invited to preview the materials and resources used.  Parents may withdraw their child from all or part of the sex education provided, except that which is required as part of National Curriculum Science.  The school has a policy document entitled ‘Sex and Relationship Education’ which parents may view on request.
